NAB 2015: ‘Crave More’

ETRI has annually demonstrated its newly developed technologies at the NAB Show
and used the event as a venue for overseas marketing endeavor.
The institution’s technologies presented to the show in 2015
included Layered Division Multiplexing(LDM) transmission technology for ATSC 3.0,
fixed and mobile convergent UHD 3DTV broadcasting system technology, and a unique screen conversion technology.
These technologies were also showcased at the NAB Labs Futures Park.

ETRI won the Technology Innovation Award of NAB 2015 again with the LDM transmission technology for ATSC 3.0.
This technology enables simultaneous and efficient receipt and transmission of UHD broadcasting
and HD mobile broadcasting with a single channel.
First bestowed at the 2009 NAB show, the Technology Innovation Award has been
granted to institutions that exhibit and demonstrate new technologies.
Candidate technologies are limited to new technologies
that have not been commercialized in the broadcasting and telecommunications sector.
ETRI won the award in 2010 and became the first institution in 2015
to win the second award at the NAB Show.
