ICT Materials and Components Research Laboratory, Where Realization of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Begins

Special

Special Actualization of Fourth Industrial Revolution, Driven by ICT Materials and Components
To the general public, an invisible cloak is merely the stuff of science fiction and fantasy films, such as the Harry Potter series. Its concept, however, is so fascinating that it would not be an exaggeration to say there is nobody who can claim they have never imagined wearing one. But would you believe that the core technology underlying the very concept of an invisible cloak is here with us today? Here, we are talking about a meta-material that makes things invisible using light reflection. This core technology falls into the category of ICT materials and components. In pursuit of a dream of turning an invisible cloak into reality, the ICT Materials and Components Research Laboratory of ETRI has started its journey to develop new ICT materials and components, continuously advancing towards the realization of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Together

Together Design the World with Renewable Energy With intensifying social discussions on nuclear phase-out issues, more and more attention has been drawn into renewable energy. Notably, solar photovoltaic power and wind power, as leading players, are now rapidly improving their usage efficiency and stability of supply and demand, which have been considered major limitations associated with renewable energy. All these efforts are raising hopes that renewable energy can serve as a clean and safe energy source for the future. GridaEnergy is a newly established research institute company aiming to apply information and communications technology, including Ai and IoT, to operating systems for renewable energy management with the notion in mind that efficient energy operation is as important as energy generation.
