ETRI Develops Self-Driving Car Processor with Nine Brains

On September 19, ETRI announced the successful development of a processor chip(AB5) that incorporates image recognition and control required by self-driving cars at a low power of around 1 watt, which is the world’s lowest level. This outcome is projected to enable a single chip to ensure integrated processing of all data collected from all sensors used by self-driving cars.
