ㅇ 제목 : Through Heart and Eyes: Sharing What You Feel and Interacting with What You See

ㅇ 일시 : 2017년 5월 24일(수) 15:00 ~17:00

ㅇ 장소 : ETRI 6연구동 406호 대회의실

ㅇ 강사 :  Dr. Thammathip Piumsomboon (Univ. of South Australia, Australia)

ㅇ 요약 :

At Empathic Computing Lab (ECL), our research focuses on empathic computing, which is a process of capturing the experience of one user and sharing it with the other, creating an understanding between them to improve their collaboration. In our recent work, we applied empathic computing to Mixed Reality (MR), which yielded interesting outcomes. For this talk, I will share our results from three studies that explored different aspects of empathic computing in MR including sharing of physiological signal in Virtual Reality (VR), eye-gaze-based interaction in VR, and sharing gaze in remote collaboration between Augmented Reality (AR) and VR.

• Short biography of Dr. Thammathip Piumsomboon: Dr.Thammathip Piumsomboon is a Research Fellow in School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences, University of South Australia. He is working with Prof. Mark Billinghurst at the Empathic Computing Laboratory, exploring novel user interfaces for collaboration in Mixed Reality (MR). Prior to his return to academia, Thammathip was a Unity Director in an Augmented Reality (AR) start-up, QuiverVision, developing mobile AR application. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Canterbury in 2015.
