Cyber Security-Convergence Research Laboratory
The Cyber Security-Convergence Research Department is leading core technical development in security technology division. The department is trying to establish a cyber-convergence security environment by pursuing the R&D global leader for the implementation of safety and security in this smart society.
The Cyber Security-Convergence Research Department was established in January 2012 to accomplish the following mission: first, the enhancement of the national correspondence capability to real-time threats; second, the enhancement of competition capability for increments of the cyber security industry scale; and, third, to occupy the leading position of the world's best security and safety technology.
The department is largely divided into three fields. First, it focuses on information security R&D based on the network and system in the automatic internet radar for national correspondence to new threats and the mobile/UNIX security technology for industrial competition enhancement. Second, it addresses physical security R&D in personal safety systems and smart CCTV security technology for being secure from danger. And, third, it researches convergence security R&D in industrial facility security, M2M security, and the convergence among traditional industries. Furthermore, the department focuses on core technology R&D in information security for the homomorphic cryptography, high performance network tracing, and in the physical security for intelligent video recognition and soft-biometrics.
The department is developing the technology of security production and services based on the above three R&D fields. It includes:
- First, implementation of red line security through extraction of the New Paradigm R&DB in prior information security and social security
technology using offence technology
- Second, implementation of green security and globalization through the economic and environmental security infrastructure, international
cooperation research, and international standardization IPR achievements
- Third, implementation of blue ocean commercialization through the extraction of IT convergence security technology with non-IT industries,
the technology commercialization demand on the market, and global marketing
The department focuses on the achievement of real-time correspondence capability to new threats and the increment of the cyber security industry scale as a national Cyber Security-Convergence R&DB site.
