Image Information Processing Equipment Operating & Management Policy
The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) hereby describes how it uses and manages image information under the Image Information Processing Equipment Operating & Management Policy in accordance with the Paragraph 7 of Article 25 of Privacy Act.
The grounds and purpose of installation of image information processing equipment
We shall install and operate the image information processing equipment for the purpose of facility safety and fire prevention in accordance with the Paragraph 1 of Article 25 of Privacy Act.

※ Handling method: The matters on the use of personal image information for other purposes, provision of the information to a third party and
the request for the destruction and disclosure of the information shall be recorded, and the records shall be properly
managed. If the storage period expires, the related records shall be completely destructed with no chance of recovery
(paper records shall be shredded or incinerated).

We assign the operation of the image information processing equipment as follows. We also stipulate necessary provisions for safe management of personal information in accordance with related laws.

Actions taken to keep image information safe
1) The image information handled by us is kept in a safe place and properly controlled by inhibiting an unauthorized person from entering into
the restricted area.
2) We classified the access authority to personal information into several levels for protection of personal image information.
3) We have the related information (ex: the date of personal image information created, purpose of reading the information, name of the
person who requested for the information, date of the information requested, etc.) properly recorded and kept the records.

Any addition, deletion and revision of the Image Information Processing Equipment Operating & Management Policy shall be disclosed
through the website.
