Service Platform Research Department

As services in various industries are converged each other with IT technology, open architecture and service convergence becomes a new trend. This trend will be accelerated and diffused more in the future.
In order to provide convergent services more rapidly and efficiently for users, it requires a next generation service platform and technologies for creation and execution based on the knowledge.
The research aim of Service Platform Research Department is defined as developing a new knowledge based convergent service platform and its core technologies, and efforts to set them as global standards. As a result, development of our new technologies for user-centric convergent service platform will contribute the growth of domestic service industry with world-wide competitive power.

Main research topic of the Convergence Service Platform Research Department is development of semantic service convergence technology for preparing new market of inter industry convergence services based on IT technology. We are also developing Convergence Codec based on Speech/Audio and control application technology for FMC. Lastly we are developing interoperability technology for various communication service devices to promote the growth of next generation convergence service market . These technologies will be applied to the future internet service platform based on context awareness.
