We are to develop the network security technologies for ensuring the next generation broadcasting and communication fusion network being the basis of the information distribution from the various network-mediated security threats. Particularly, according to the medium-and long-term basic strategy of information security for early establishing u-Korea, the division also puts some R&D exertion on development of the application security technologies for protecting the applications used in the interpersonal communications environment and the security technology for the national backbone networks in order to safely provide the future application service. Presently, the necessary information security technologies for securing the next generation internet network, the next generation S/W platform, the mobile apparatus, the embedded operating system, and Convergence network have being developed.

And, we are conducting various researches and projects for secure u-Korea such as the next generation information security and privacy preserving technology, digital forensics for acquiring preserving and analyzing digital evidence, digital ID security technology for managing user’s personal information and authentication, IP Surveillance System, maritime Convergence Service Security for ubiquitous environment, large-scale biometrics service system.
