Vehicle-IT Convergence Research Department

Vehicle-IT convergence research department aims to become a global technology leader in the convergence fields of the vehicle-IT and the shipbuilding-IT. For the goal, our department has been actively engaged in the research and development of the topmost technologies and the creation of a new added value for vehicle-IT and shipbuilding-IT convergence.

In the field of vehicle-IT convergence, we have been developing various core technologies such as the connected vehicle technology for the integration of vehicle, sensor, and communication, the green vehicle IT technology including proactive idle stop, and the vehicle-infra convergence technology including vehicle S/W platform, automotive functional safety, automatic vehicle guidance, ubiquitous GIS, and seamless location positioning.

In the field of shipbuilding-IT convergence, we have been developing the SAN (Ship Area Network) technology for the integrated ship monitoring control and the remote maintenance, the group communication technology for the shipbuilding industry, and the shipyard block monitoring technology for the improvement of the efficiency and the productivity of shipbuilding process.
