RFID/USN Research Department

RFID/USN technologies constitute a body of convergence technology that can be used to create useful services by applying core RFID/USN technologies to major traditional industries such as automobiles, distribution/logistics, textiles/clothing, food/medical supplies, electronic/electric home appliances, machinery, steel, petrochemistry, aviation, and ship-building, as well as public industries such as agriculture/fisheries, healthcare/medical services, national defense, culture/tourism, safety, environment, and energy.

Spearheading the deveropment of RFID/USN as the core technology of u-Life, RFID/USN Research Department has been actively engaged in the research and development of various core technologies for RFID such as RFID readers, tags, middleware, applications for Item level Tagging, Moile RFID, RTLS(Real Time Location System), USN core elements such as USN PHY/MAC, Sensor Node Platform & SoC, networking protocol, USN applications & services such as Real Time Asset Tracking, Advanced Metering Infrastructure and sensor networks for u-City and u-Defense to realize a convenient, safe, prosperous Life.
